The Rambling Celt
Hello, my name is Róise, a Scottish-based writer and film director with roots in the North of Ireland. My award-winning short films have screened internationally and received multiple festival awards and recognition. As both an Irish and Scottish Gaelic speaker, my filmmaking often incorporates minoritised languages to explore cross-cultural identity, polarisation, and divided communities. Through Gaelic and Irish language storytelling, my work highlights the voices and experiences of underrepresented cultures.
If you’d like to learn more about my films, watch my work, host a screening, or discuss future collaborations, please visit the ‘FILM’ section below.
Alongside filmmaking, I have over seven years of experience working in marketing and public relations. I have launched brands and written press releases for organisations including Brown-Forman and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, securing local, national, and international media coverage for clients.
