The world’s first narrative short film in Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) and Irish (Gaeilge) has been recognised internationally at film festivals in Ireland, the UK, and North America. Le Chéile has been shortlisted for eight festivals, including Toronto Irish Film Festival where it will premiere on the 24th March, 2024.
It will be screened at the following Film Festivals:

– Achill Island Film Festival – Thursday 11th May (Achill Island, Ireland) – NO TIME CONFIRMED YET
– Ranelagh Film Festival – Monday 13th May (Ranelagh, Ireland) – NO TIME CONFIRMED YET
– UK Seasonal Short Film Festival (Special Mention) – (London) – NOT SCREENING
– St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s Film Festival – (London) – NO SCREENING OR DATE YET
– On the Pulse Short Film Festival – Sunday 24th March – (Belfast, North of Ireland) – 10am
– Fastnet Film Festival – 22nd – 26th May – (Schull, Ireland) – NO TIME CONFIRMED YET
– Celtic Media Festival – 6th June (Cardiff, Wales) – 7pm
Anyone is welcome to attend these screenings, but you must purchase a festival ticket on the festival’s website (linked above).
Longer term, I hope to tour Le Céile around local cinemas and communities within Ireland, Scotland, and abroad. Eventually the film will be added to Youtube so it’s accessible and saor in aisce for everyone.
